A top price for Conor McCreedy - as previously expected
In March 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw”, which included the work Indian Ocean Diptych by Conor McCreedy. The price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 29,211.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Indian Ocean Diptych is the most expensive artwork by Conor McCreedy that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im März 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw” durch, in der auch die Arbeit Indian Ocean Diptych von Conor McCreedy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 29.211,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Indian Ocean Diptych das teuerste Kunstwerk von Conor McCreedy, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
