Auction result well in line with expectations
The work O Indicator by Cole Morgan was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in December 2008. The price achieved of EUR 5,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,500.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cole Morgan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stripes, which sold at auction in June 2001 for NLG 29,375.00 (€ 14,119.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit O Indicator von Cole Morgan kam im Dezember 2008 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.500,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Cole Morgan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stripes beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für NLG 29.375,00 (€ 14.119,00) versteigert wurde.
