Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Twentieth Century Art, which included the work Bros by Cole Morgan. It changed hands for a price of EUR 6,875.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cole Morgan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stripes, which sold at auction in June 2001 for NLG 29,375.00 (€ 14,119.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Twentieth Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bros von Cole Morgan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 6.875,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cole Morgan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stripes beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für NLG 29.375,00 (€ 14.119,00) versteigert wurde.
