In September 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations, which included the work Starter PH-2 by Cole Morgan. The result of EUR 1,500.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cole Morgan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stripes in June 2001 with an auction result of NLG 29,375.00 (€ 14,119.00).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Starter PH-2 von Cole Morgan zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.500,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cole Morgan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stripes im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 29.375,00 (€ 14.119,00).
