This artwork by Cole Morgan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Amsterdam in June 2010. In the 19th Century European Paintings & Contemporary Art auction, the work Ghostos Ii sold for EUR 12,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Cole Morgan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Stripes sold at auction in June 2001 with the realized price of NLG 29,375.00 (€ 14,119.00).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Cole Morgan erzielte im Juni 2010 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Ghostos Ii für EUR 12.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Cole Morgan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Stripes im Juni 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von NLG 29.375,00 (€ 14.119,00).
