Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Metros Seven Works by Cildo Meireles. The price achieved of USD 56,250.00 (€ 48,399.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 45,000.00 – 65,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cildo Meireles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rodos in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 641,000.00 (€ 583,045.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Metros Seven Works von Cildo Meireles zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 48.399,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 45.000,00 – 65.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cildo Meireles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rodos im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 641.000,00 (€ 583.045,30).
