Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work 4 Fontes carpenter Meters by Cildo Meireles was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in Paris in April last year. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 15,120.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cildo Meireles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rodos in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 641,000.00 (€ 583,045.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit 4 Fontes carpenter Meters von Cildo Meireles wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 15.120,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cildo Meireles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rodos im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 641.000,00 (€ 583.045,30).
