Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Mètres (Sources) by Cildo Meireles was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in July this year. It achieved a price of GBP 17,780.00 (€ 20,743.87), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cildo Meireles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rodos in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 641,000.00 (€ 583,045.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mètres (Sources) von Cildo Meireles wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 17.780,00 (€ 20.743,87) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cildo Meireles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rodos im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 641.000,00 (€ 583.045,30).
