Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poom by Christian Marclay was auctioned at Phillips in London in September this year. The price achieved of GBP 6,350.00 (€ 6,350.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Marclay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boneyard in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 550,000.00 (€ 493,938.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Poom von Christian Marclay kam im September diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.350,00 (€ 6.350,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christian Marclay erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boneyard im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 550.000,00 (€ 493.938,03).
