It achieved a price of USD 76,200.00 (€ 69,021.74), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 27%. Admittedly, works by Christian Marclay have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Boneyard in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 550,000.00 (€ 493,938.03).

Die Arbeit Hot August Night von Christian Marclay kam im April diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 76.200,00 (€ 69.021,74) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 27%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christian Marclay auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Boneyard im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 550.000,00 (€ 493.938,03).
