In May 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Post -War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session, which included the work Maid's Chariot by Christian Holstad. The »bidding war« ended at USD 34,800.00 (€ 25,867.84), 16% above the upper estimate. With this result, Maid's Chariot is even the most expensive work of art by Christian Holstad that we have observed at auctions so far.
