Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York, which included the work I. Black Magic Ii. Please Step Away From The Microscope 2 Works by Christian Holstad. The price achieved of USD 1,000.00 (€ 890.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Holstad achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maid's Chariot in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 34,800.00 (€ 25,867.84).

Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit I. Black Magic Ii. Please Step Away From The Microscope 2 Works von Christian Holstad zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.000,00 (€ 890,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christian Holstad erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maid's Chariot im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 34.800,00 (€ 25.867,84).
