Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Allow the Sun to Shine Through by Christian Holstad for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,075.55). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Holstad achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maid's Chariot in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 34,800.00 (€ 25,867.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Allow the Sun to Shine Through von Christian Holstad für USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.075,55) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christian Holstad erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maid's Chariot im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 34.800,00 (€ 25.867,84).
