Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work But a perfectly normal size mouth not put to use is a crime in itself by Chloe Wise. It changed hands for a price of USD 56,700.00 (€ 52,837.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chloe Wise - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Above all things, be glad, and young, and relatively irreplaceable, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 144,900.00 (€ 135,029.35).
