Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work A nice stranger I can trust, a nice trustee I can estrange by Chloe Wise. The price achieved of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 57,873.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chloe Wise - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Above all things, be glad, and young, and relatively irreplaceable, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 144,900.00 (€ 135,029.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A nice stranger I can trust, a nice trustee I can estrange von Chloe Wise zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 57.873,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Chloe Wise mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Above all things, be glad, and young, and relatively irreplaceable beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 144.900,00 (€ 135.029,35) versteigert wurde.
