Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Them No. 2 by Chen Qiulin for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,654.61). This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Qiulin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Garden No.1 in October 2015 with an auction result of CNY 162,500.00 (€ 23,296.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Them No. 2 von Chen Qiulin für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.654,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Qiulin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Garden No.1 im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 162.500,00 (€ 23.296,28).
