Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Chen Qiulin could be acquired at Christies in New York in November 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Asian Contemporary Art Online: featuring the Chaney Family Collection auction, the work I Am An Angel No.3 changed hands for USD 1,125.00 (€ 945.54) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Qiulin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Garden No.1 in October 2015 with an auction result of CNY 162,500.00 (€ 23,296.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Qiulin konnte im November 2017 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art Online: featuring the Chaney Family Collection wechselte die Arbeit I Am An Angel No.3 für USD 1.125,00 (€ 945,54) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Qiulin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Garden No.1 im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 162.500,00 (€ 23.296,28).
