Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Prints, which included the work Tourelle De La Rue De La Tixéranderie, Paris (D. & W. 29) by Charles Meryon. The price achieved of USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,033.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Charles Meryon have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2006 the work La Morgue (D., W. 36; S. 42) was auctioned for GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,533.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tourelle De La Rue De La Tixéranderie, Paris (D. & W. 29) von Charles Meryon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.033,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Charles Meryon konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2006 die Arbeit La Morgue (D., W. 36; S. 42) für GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.533,66) versteigert.
