Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (Stein & Karshan 46) by Charles Maurin was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Christies in London in September 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,301.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Maurin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La mer in March 2017 with an auction result of EUR 47,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (Stein & Karshan 46) von Charles Maurin wurde im September 2010 in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.301,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Maurin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La mer im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 47.500,00.
