Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Maurin could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Portrait of Dr. Amordru; and two companion drawings by other hands changed hands for USD 437.50 (€ 317.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Maurin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La mer in March 2017 with an auction result of EUR 47,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Maurin konnte im Februar 2011 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Portrait of Dr. Amordru; and two companion drawings by other hands für USD 437,50 (€ 317,19) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Maurin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La mer im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 47.500,00.
