Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a Lady, three-quarter-length, in a white dress, a fountain beyond by Charles Jervas was sold in the The House Sale auction at Christies in New York in June 2003. The price achieved of USD 6,572.50 (€ 5,714.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Jervas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As Elizabeth Felton, Of Playford, Later Countess Of Bristol (1677-1741), Three-Quarter-Length, Seated In A White Dress With A Blue Wrap, In A Wooded Landscape in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 45,410.00 (€ 70,238.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a Lady, three-quarter-length, in a white dress, a fountain beyond von Charles Jervas wurde im Juni 2003 in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As Elizabeth Felton, Of Playford, Later Countess Of Bristol (1677-1741), Three-Quarter-Length, Seated In A White Dress With A Blue Wrap, In A Wooded Landscape im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.410,00 (€ 70.238,99).
