This artwork by Charles Hinman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2015. In the First Open/ NYC auction, the work Summer Day sold for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,936.53) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Charles Hinman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Aeneas sold at auction in September 2014 with the realized price of USD 34,375.00 (€ 27,221.25).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Hinman erzielte im Juli 2015 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open/ NYC wurde die Arbeit Summer Day für USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.936,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Charles Hinman; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Aeneas im September 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 34.375,00 (€ 27.221,25).
