Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Africa And Numbers by Charles Gaines. The price achieved of USD 437,500.00 (€ 389,546.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Other works by Charles Gaines have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2019 the work Numbers And Trees: Central Park Series Iv: Tree #6, Carmichael was auctioned for USD 475,000.00 (€ 426,047.18).
