The »bidding war« ended at GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,988.26), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Atamian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Armenian looking Out To Sea, which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 58,850.00 (€ 71,567.08).

Die Arbeit Abdülhamid II crossing the Bosphorus for his coronation in the Eyüp Sultan Mosque, the Dolmabahçe Mosque beyond von Charles Atamian wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion British and European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.988,26) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Atamian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Armenian looking Out To Sea beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für GBP 58.850,00 (€ 71.567,08) versteigert wurde.
