This artwork by Charles Atamian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in October this year. In the European Art auction, the work Coin de plage sold for USD 47,880.00 (€ 45,306.59) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Charles Atamian; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Armenian looking Out To Sea sold at auction in June 2010 with the realized price of GBP 58,850.00 (€ 71,567.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Atamian erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion European Art wurde die Arbeit Coin de plage für USD 47.880,00 (€ 45.306,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Charles Atamian; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Armenian looking Out To Sea im Juni 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 58.850,00 (€ 71.567,08).
