A top price for Charles Atamian - as previously expected
In June 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings Including German, Austrian and Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and the Scandinavian Sale, which included the work Armenian looking Out To Sea by Charles Atamian. It changed hands for a price of GBP 58,850.00 (€ 71,567.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Armenian looking Out To Sea is the most expensive artwork by Charles Atamian that we have observed at auctions so far.
