Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Armenian girl By The Sea by Charles Atamian was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in December 2015. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 33,948.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Atamian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Armenian looking Out To Sea, which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 58,850.00 (€ 71,567.08).

Die Arbeit Armenian girl By The Sea von Charles Atamian wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 33.948,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Atamian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Armenian looking Out To Sea beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für GBP 58.850,00 (€ 71.567,08) versteigert wurde.
