In September 2014 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work On the shore, possibly Saint-Gilles-sur-Vie, France by Charles Atamian. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,238.91), 46% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles Atamian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Armenian looking Out To Sea in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 58,850.00 (€ 71,567.08).

Im September 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the shore, possibly Saint-Gilles-sur-Vie, France von Charles Atamian zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.238,91) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Atamian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Armenian looking Out To Sea im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 58.850,00 (€ 71.567,08).
