The work Armenian promenade On The Beach by Charles Atamian was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in December 2018. The result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,140.89) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Atamian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Armenian looking Out To Sea in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 58,850.00 (€ 71,567.08).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Armenian promenade On The Beach von Charles Atamian wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.140,89) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Atamian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Armenian looking Out To Sea im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 58.850,00 (€ 71.567,08).
