This artwork by Charles Atamian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2016. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work A la pêche sold for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 17,942.30) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Atamian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Armenian looking Out To Sea, which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 58,850.00 (€ 71,567.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 96 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Atamian erzielte im Mai 2016 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wurde die Arbeit A la pêche für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 17.942,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Atamian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Armenian looking Out To Sea beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für GBP 58.850,00 (€ 71.567,08) versteigert wurde.
