The price achieved of USD 2,280.00 (€ 1,686.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cary Smith have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blue Wonder Wheel #9 in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 8,750.00 (€ 8,179.10).
