Auction result well in line with expectations
The work YES! THIS DAMN UNIVERSE! by Carol Bove was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 112,500.00 (€ 100,124.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carol Bove - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Young Lovers, which sold at auction in September 2018 for USD 308,000.00 (€ 265,014.63).

Die Arbeit YES! THIS DAMN UNIVERSE! von Carol Bove kam im Mai 2017 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 100.124,60) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Carol Bove mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Young Lovers beobachtet, die im September 2018 für USD 308.000,00 (€ 265.014,63) versteigert wurde.
