In November 2009 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Part II, which included the work Il pittore mancino (The left handed painter) by Carlo Maria Mariani. It changed hands for a price of USD 56,250.00 (€ 37,515.01) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by Carlo Maria Mariani have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2008 the work Orfeo was auctioned for EUR 66,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2009 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Il pittore mancino (The left handed painter) von Carlo Maria Mariani zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 37.515,01) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Carlo Maria Mariani konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2008 die Arbeit Orfeo für EUR 66.250,00 versteigert.
