Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Interior with a woman embroidering by Carl Vilhelm Holsøe was auctioned at Bonhams in London in March last year. The price achieved of GBP 25,250.00 (€ 29,936.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carl Vilhelm Holsøe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Artist's Wife sitting at a Window in a sunlit Room in October 2015 with an auction result of USD 167,000.00 (€ 151,240.72).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.250,00 (€ 29.936,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Vilhelm Holsøe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Artist's Wife sitting at a Window in a sunlit Room im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 167.000,00 (€ 151.240,72).
