Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 22,680.00 (€ 27,083.95). Admittedly, works by Carl Vilhelm Holsøe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Artist's Wife sitting at a Window in a sunlit Room in October 2015 with an auction result of USD 167,000.00 (€ 151,240.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lady Reading in an Interior von Carl Vilhelm Holsøe kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 22.680,00 (€ 27.083,95) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Vilhelm Holsøe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Artist's Wife sitting at a Window in a sunlit Room im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 167.000,00 (€ 151.240,72).
