Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Interior by Carl Vilhelm Holsøe was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 47,880.00 (€ 57,177.22) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carl Vilhelm Holsøe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Artist's Wife sitting at a Window in a sunlit Room, which sold at auction in October 2015 for USD 167,000.00 (€ 151,240.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Interior von Carl Vilhelm Holsøe kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 47.880,00 (€ 57.177,22) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Carl Vilhelm Holsøe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Artist's Wife sitting at a Window in a sunlit Room beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für USD 167.000,00 (€ 151.240,72) versteigert wurde.
