In November 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work La Valse by Camille Claudel. The »bidding war« ended at USD 88,200.00 (€ 73,819.89), 47% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Camille Claudel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Valse, Première Version in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 5,122,500.00 (€ 5,978,874.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Im November 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Valse von Camille Claudel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 88.200,00 (€ 73.819,89) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Camille Claudel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Valse, Première Version im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.122.500,00 (€ 5.978.874,90).
