The work Étude De Main by Camille Claudel was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Online auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2019. It achieved a price of USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,308.72), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Camille Claudel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Valse, Première Version in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 5,122,500.00 (€ 5,978,874.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Étude De Main von Camille Claudel wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Online bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 42.308,72) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Camille Claudel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Valse, Première Version im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.122.500,00 (€ 5.978.874,90).
