Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2010 Phillips in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary Editions, which included the work Local +/or General; Farnshaven, Illinois by Callum Morton. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,188.00 (€ 911.32), 19% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Callum Morton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Monument #5 - Dead End, 2006, which sold at auction in August this year for AUD 5,535.00 (€ 3,302.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2010 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Local +/or General; Farnshaven, Illinois von Callum Morton zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.188,00 (€ 911,32) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Callum Morton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Monument #5 - Dead End, 2006 beobachtet, die im August diesen Jahres für AUD 5.535,00 (€ 3.302,92) versteigert wurde.
