Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Thing I by Brian Calvin was auctioned at Christies in New York in May this year. The price achieved of USD 37,800.00 (€ 35,479.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brian Calvin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work California Freeform, which sold at auction in June 2021 for USD 151,200.00 (€ 127,616.48).
