Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kisses and Crosses 2000 by Bob Law was sold in the Prints & MultiplesPart I: (Lots 1-250) Part II: The Arthur N. Gilbert Collection of Important Prints by James Gillray (1756-1815)(Lots 251-363) auction at Bonhams in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,851.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bob Law achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nothing to be Afraid of V 16.7.69 in March this year with an auction result of GBP 101,100.00 (€ 115,020.78).

Die Arbeit Kisses and Crosses 2000 von Bob Law wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Prints & MultiplesPart I: (Lots 1-250) Part II: The Arthur N. Gilbert Collection of Important Prints by James Gillray (1756-1815)(Lots 251-363) bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.851,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bob Law erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nothing to be Afraid of V 16.7.69 im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 101.100,00 (€ 115.020,78).
