Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Bob Law achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2020. In the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Drawing 18.3.70 sold for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,731.29) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bob Law have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nothing to be Afraid of V 16.7.69 in March this year with an auction result of GBP 101,100.00 (€ 115,020.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bob Law erzielte im Februar 2020 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Drawing 18.3.70 für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.731,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bob Law auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nothing to be Afraid of V 16.7.69 im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 101.100,00 (€ 115.020,78).
