Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Castle XXXIX by Bob Law was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2020. The price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 52,744.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bob Law - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nothing to be Afraid of V 16.7.69, which sold at auction in March this year for GBP 101,100.00 (€ 115,020.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Castle XXXIX von Bob Law kam im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 52.744,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Bob Law mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nothing to be Afraid of V 16.7.69 beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für GBP 101.100,00 (€ 115.020,78) versteigert wurde.
