Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Blinky Palermo could be acquired at Christies in New York in May this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Red Sketchbook changed hands for USD 126,000.00 (€ 118,265.44) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Blinky Palermo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ohne Titel in May last year with an auction result of USD 5,640,000.00 (€ 5,255,800.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Blinky Palermo konnte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Red Sketchbook für USD 126.000,00 (€ 118.265,44) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Blinky Palermo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ohne Titel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.640.000,00 (€ 5.255.800,95).
