Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Prints & Multiples Including Property from the Collection of Catherine Woodard and Nelson Blitz, Jr., which included the work The Fatio House And Block 119 by Blanche Lazzell. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 162,500.00 (€ 139,508.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Blanche Lazzell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Painting Xi (The Windmill), which sold at auction in May 2008 for USD 505,000.00 (€ 324,550.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Prints & Multiples Including Property from the Collection of Catherine Woodard and Nelson Blitz, Jr. durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Fatio House And Block 119 von Blanche Lazzell zur Versteigerung kam.
