Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work Sail Boat (C. bl. 79) by Blanche Lazzell. It changed hands for a price of USD 38,100.00 (€ 36,052.23) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Blanche Lazzell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Painting Xi (The Windmill) in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 505,000.00 (€ 324,550.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sail Boat (C. bl. 79) von Blanche Lazzell zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 38.100,00 (€ 36.052,23) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Blanche Lazzell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Painting Xi (The Windmill) im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 505.000,00 (€ 324.550,13).
