In June 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Le Chat Noir by Blanche Augustine Camus. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,589.98), 72% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Blanche Augustine Camus - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les vendanges en Provence, which sold at auction in December 2003 for GBP 19,975.00 (€ 28,291.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 72 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Chat Noir von Blanche Augustine Camus zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.589,98) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Blanche Augustine Camus mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les vendanges en Provence beobachtet, die im Dezember 2003 für GBP 19.975,00 (€ 28.291,97) versteigert wurde.
