Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Blair Hughes-Stanton could be acquired at Phillips in New York in November 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Contemporary Editions auction, the work group of five prints changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 958.88) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Blair Hughes-Stanton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bathers in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 8,988.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Blair Hughes-Stanton konnte im November 2010 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Editions wechselte die Arbeit group of five prints für USD 1.250,00 (€ 958,88) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Blair Hughes-Stanton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bathers im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 8.988,80).
