Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Bernard Meninsky could be acquired at Bonhams in March this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Pictures and Prints Online auction, the work A study of a model changed hands for GBP 382.50 (€ 435.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Meninsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bathers in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,784.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bernard Meninsky konnte im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Pictures and Prints Online wechselte die Arbeit A study of a model für GBP 382,50 (€ 435,17) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard Meninsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bathers im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.784,76).
