The work Girl in White by Bernard Meninsky was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in April last year. It achieved a price of GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,976.51), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 66%. Admittedly, works by Bernard Meninsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Bathers in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,784.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 66 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Girl in White von Bernard Meninsky wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.976,51) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 66%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bernard Meninsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Bathers im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.784,76).
